Milestones.
The beginning
Spin-off from the Fraunhofer Institute IITB in Karlsruhe. Goal: make acoustic test technology digital and industrial-grade. Same year: contribution to the first acoustic quality network with 8 interconnected test stations – each with its own computer.
First fully automated test benches
Development of fully automated test benches for leading automotive manufacturers – built for the production cycle. Highlight: a test bench for noise and function testing of sunroofs with up to 12 sensors evaluated simultaneously.
PRODIAS – standardized test software
PRODIAS sets a milestone: standardized, user-friendly measurement and test software for all noise and vibration tests in series production. Foundation for the later Prodias2000 system generation.
RTE GmbH founded
Formal founding of RTE Akustik + Prüftechnik GmbH as an independent company in Pfinztal. New business fields: acoustic material testing with SR20AT software, machine and process monitoring with LC Vibro.
First series solution
Development and delivery of the first fully automated acoustic inline test system for a German foundry customer. Cycle time under 2 seconds.
Automotive Tier-1
First inline system at a Tier-1 automotive supplier. Start of brake disc eigenfrequency testing in three-shift operation.
Design award for SonicTC.Line
RTE receives a design award for SonicTC.Line – a signal that technology, usability and design belong together.
SonicTC platform
Launch of the SonicTC software platform: noise testing, material testing and process monitoring in one software for the first time.
Damping measurement with Daimler
Joint development with Daimler of a new method for damping and quality factor determination (Q-rating) for brake discs – a pioneering project for the entire automotive industry.
Internationalization
Joined the European Powder Metallurgy Association (EPMA). First installations in Asia and North America. Founding of RTE India.
Joint venture in India
Launch of the joint venture RTE Transweigh India Private Limited. 2019: system partnership with Polytec and cooperation with Fraunhofer IDMT.
Innovation award
"Innovative through research" award from the Stifterverband. AI-based anomaly detection integrated into SonicTC.
180th inline system
Delivery of the 180th inline test system worldwide. New SonicTC.NVH release with extended psychoacoustic evaluation.
Generational change in management
The Krahtov brothers join as managing directors and take over operational leadership together. Continuity for customers and employees, fresh momentum for platform strategy, internationalization and scaling of the SonicTC solutions.
