SonicTC.AT

100 % tested. 0 % destroyed.

Resonance analysis detects cracks, structural defects and material mix-ups – non-destructively and fully automated. On cast, sintered, ceramic and forged parts.

Features

What SonicTC.AT delivers.

Resonance

Eigenfrequency & Q

Modal resonance with ±0.1 Hz resolution. Q-factor and damping reveal cracks, voids, mix-ups.

Excitation

Impulse or sweep

Knock excitation (hammer/actuator) or sweep (piezo/loudspeaker). Selectable per part.

Modal

Mode tracking

Tracks individual eigenmodes. Mode shifts reveal material mix-ups and heat-treat errors.

Smart

Adaptive tolerances

Tolerance bands learned statistically from the golden-part population.

Climate

Climate compensation

Compensates temperature and humidity influences in the algorithm.

Inline

100% inline

Fully automated excitation, capture, evaluation in line. < 500 ms typical.

How we integrate SonicTC into your line.

Every project starts with a feasibility analysis: we receive your part and golden-part references, characterise the acoustic behaviour and deliver a test specification.

Then comes the pilot install – as a rental or fixed installation. After successful validation, the line ramps up. With SLA-backed support, calibration and software updates.

  • 1. Feasibility (1–4 weeks)
  • 2. Pilot or rental (4–12 weeks)
  • 3. Series commissioning (4–8 weeks)
  • 4. Lifecycle support, maintenance, updates

FAQ

Frequently asked.

Which materials can be tested?

Cast iron (GJL, GJS, GJV), sintered metals, ceramics, forgings, plastics – any material with a defined modal response.

Are sub-surface cracks detected?

Yes. Resonance analysis is volumetric – it sees cracks regardless of position, as long as they affect eigenfrequency or damping.

How does SonicTC.AT differ from ultrasound or eddy current?

Acoustic resonance tests the entire part in one shot – not pointwise. Faster, geometry-independent and no coupling medium.

Do I need defect samples for setup?

Ideally yes, but not required. Our self-supervised anomaly mode works from golden-part data alone.
