You can reach our DPO at datenschutz@rte.de.
3. Processed data and purposes
3.1 Server log files
When accessing our website, the web server processes the following data anonymously: shortened IP address, date/time, accessed URL, referrer, browser/operating system. Legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). Retention: 7 days.
3.2 Contact and demo forms
Submitted data (name, company, email, phone, message) are used solely to process your request. Legal basis: pre-contractual measures (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR) or consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR).
3.3 Web analytics (Plausible)
We use self-hosted Plausible Analytics. Plausible does not collect personal data, does not use cookies and does not fingerprint devices. Evaluation is anonymized and aggregated. Legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR).
3.4 Newsletter and whitepaper downloads
For whitepaper downloads or newsletter sign-ups we store name, company and email. Legal basis: consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR). Sending happens via Brevo (France/EU). You can withdraw consent at any time.
3.5 Job applications
Applicant data are used solely to handle the application (Art. 88 GDPR in conjunction with § 26 BDSG). Retention: 6 months after process completion, unless you consent to longer retention.
4. Recipients / processors
We use processors only based on data processing agreements per Art. 28 GDPR. Hosting is in Germany. For recipients in third countries we ensure appropriate safeguards (Standard Contractual Clauses).
5. Cookies & consent
By default we only use strictly necessary cookies (e.g. for language preference and to store your cookie choice). These are required for the website to operate and therefore do not require consent (Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR in conjunction with § 25 (2) TTDSG).
Optional services – such as embedded third-party content (e.g. videos) or extended analytics – are only loaded with your explicit consent. On your first visit our cookie banner is shown with the options "Accept all", "Necessary only" and "Settings" (granular per-category selection). Your consent is voluntary and can be withdrawn or changed at any time via the "Cookie settings" link in the footer, with effect for the future.
For audience measurement we use Plausible Analytics on our own servers – cookieless, without collecting personal data and without device fingerprints (see section 3.3). No consent is required for this.
6. SSL/TLS encryption
To protect the security of your data during transmission, we use state-of-the-art encryption methods (e.g. TLS) via HTTPS.
7. Data subject rights
You have the right to information (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and objection (Art. 21 GDPR) as well as the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority (State Commissioner for Data Protection Baden-Württemberg).
If you have given us consent, you may revoke it at any time with effect for the future. A list of supervisory authorities (for the non-public sector) with addresses can be found at: www.bfdi.bund.de.
8. Right to object under Art. 21 GDPR
You have the right to object at any time, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to the processing of personal data concerning you which is based on Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (data processing on the basis of a balance of interests); this also applies to profiling based on this provision within the meaning of Art. 4 No. 4 GDPR.
If you object, we will no longer process your personal data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing serves the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.
Recipient of an objection:
