Two brothers. One shared direction.
Since 2026, the Krahtov brothers have been the shareholders behind RTE Akustik + Prüftechnik GmbH. With their entry, they combine the scientific heritage of the Fraunhofer spin-off with a clear entrepreneurial signature: a consistent platform mindset, internationalization and scaling of the SonicTC solutions.
Both know industry and Mittelstand from first-hand experience. As owners they set the strategic direction, secure long-term investment in technology and site, and give the operating director the freedom to execute. Short paths, clear decisions, personal accountability – just as customers have always known RTE.

Director
Jörg Ritter, Director.
Operational leadership with over 25 years of test technology experience.
Jörg Ritter serves as Director of RTE Akustik + Prüftechnik GmbH and leads the day-to-day business. He founded RTE in 1998 as a Fraunhofer IZFP spin-off and has shaped the development of acoustic test technology for more than 25 years – from the first material resonance algorithm to today's SonicTC platform.
With the Krahtov brothers joining as shareholders in 2026, responsibilities are clearly defined: the owners set the strategic frame, while Jörg Ritter runs the operating business, coordinates engineering, service and customer projects, and remains the primary contact for key accounts, Fraunhofer and research partners.
